We have entered the 150th year since our foundation and want to celebrate this with some important initiatives.
Starting with the initiative to bring our Austrian constitution together with the Salzburg Festival. This "Culture of the Constitution - Constitution of Culture" matinee was characterized by the ceremonial lectures of the Austrian writer Maja Haderlap and the President of the Austrian Constitutional Court, Univ.-Prof. DDr. Christoph Grabenwarter.
The President of the Forum Verfassung and former President of the Constitutional Court as well as the Federal Chancellor aD, Dr. Brigitte Bierlein and the President of the Salzburg Festival also worked out important aspects from the perspective of the constitution and art.
The Camerata Salzburg performed Shostakovich's 8th String Quartet in chamber music instrumentation as a return to the time of the founding of the Republic as well as the Salzburg Festival, and this was particularly moving in this context because it was composed by Shostakovich at the time he had to join the KPDSU.
Afterwards, a meal was served, which, under strict COVID conditions, showed a completely new experience of the effect of the distance demanded by the virus.
